The second session of Passenger Assistance covers Wheelchair Handling and is
required for drives who transport passengers seated in wheelchairs or who assist
passengers in transferring from a wheelchair to a vehicle. Topics for this session
include: Awareness of paralysis and sensory deficits; Safety aspects and parts of a
wheelchair; Method of handling wheelchairs on and off bus lifts, up and down steps
and ramps, in and out of doorways; Instruction in the operation of lifts, ramps, and
wheelchair securement devices
Length: 4 hours Course Fee: $48
