The course covers traumatic brain injury (TBI) assessment following the ABC’s of airway,
breathing and circulation. Identifying hypoxia and hypotension and applying appropriate
treatment as well as applying the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) for patient evaluation are
taught. Skills cards are provided for class participants to keep and use as reference in
the field.
